The war is considered a coup-attempt, as raddicted unsuccessfully, with Oak Hills support, tried to oust Norbert from power and install himself as the sole ruler of Paris. This goal failed however, and the war ended in a Pyrrhic victory for Norbert.
 
Being fed up with Norbert's rule over Paris and his several controversies, Raddicted declared himself to be the sole ruler over Paris and vowed to depose Norbert. [[CalmCreeper360]] and [[44cckw]], both of which distrusted Norbert and had rivalries with him, supported Rad's cause and volunteered to fight alongside him on the battlefield.

With Norbert having Calm's items, raddicted threatened Norbert with a stack of glowstone that he had borrowed. If Norbert didn't return Calm's items; he would never give Norbert the glowstone back. 44cckw and raddicted also suggested that CalmCreeper and Norbert could duel at the [[Fencepost]], Calm turned down the suggestion. Further violence followed, and CalmCreeper threatened Norbert:

Norbert complained about this and tried to lie that he had been attacked unprovoked, leading him to take "revenge" by breaking into rad's home a second time, killing raddicted and stealing his items.
To stop Norbert from killing raddicted and CalmCreeper, 44cckw would use /kill to murder Norbert, with raddicted proceeding to steal all of Norbert's dropped items. Due to pretty much all players loosing their items, the server reloaded from backup.
 
Norbert had effectively created two mortal enemies on the server who wanted him brought to justice. To prevent any retaliation from either Calm or rad, he went offline for the time being. While 44cckw was thinking about what to do with the current situation, Calm took matters into his own hands.

Norbert would complain about this, citing that raddicted was inciting more conflict on the server. raddicted would on the other hand say that it was perfectly acceptable, as Norbert was trespassing on private property, and that he simply did exactly what Norbert had done on a previous occasion. Norbert did not take this lightly, and killed raddicted inside of his home and stole his items in the process. With this, Norbert had again created two enemies on the server who wanted him brought to justice. Norbert would go offline for the time being. While 44cckw was thinking about what to do, Calm took matters into his own hands.

With rad's Army in disarray after being destroyed by Norbert's EvilPoopMan powerscheats, raddicted came up with the idea of using lava-buckets as a weapon. To gather the lava, raddicted and 44cckw ventured into the [[Nether]]. However, the two players found a lot more than just lava. raddicted stumbled acrossupon a massive dupe stash. This was a massive morale-boost to the army, as the supply of dupe war-era diamonds that they had used previously was very small. rad's Army would spend a significant time manually mining these duped diamond blocks, and gathergathering them at the oilOil rigRig. In total, they gathered approximately 3 stacks of diamond blocks, which was more than enough to craft serious weapons and armor for the entire army.

There is debate among the player base on who exactly created this dupe stash. The Nether was largely explored and mapped back in September and the dupe stash was not found then, so it is believed to have been created some time in October- or November. While themost firstplayers immediately suspect wasthat [[Revert]], was behind this (who had previously duped on the server a few weeks prior), manyother players doubted this. Revert himself wouldclaimed eventhat gohe ondid recordnot saying thatcommit the dupe was not committed by him, as he never duped anything other than iron and lapis blocks. It is most likely that this iswas aan unrelated copycat crime committed by an unknown player on the server.

With rad's Army losinglost their groundfoothold on mainland Paris[[Oak Hills]] and OakParis Hills,after theyseveral raids on [[CalmCreeper360's House|Calm's House]] by Norbert. The army fully regrouped at the oilOil rigRig. While they were busy crafting and managing more gear they would use, Norbert would useused the massive tunnel-system underneath Paris to advance on the oilOil rigRig. As these tunnels wasare directly connected directly to the oilOil rigRig, raddicted and CalmCreeper would pourpoured lava down the stairs leading to thethese underground tunnels. This successfully halted Norbert's first attack, as he was unable to stop the massive flow of lava coming from above. With their current advantage, raddicted planned to build a tower up to build limit and pour lava down onto Norbert'sthe Paris houseMansion. This wouldn't destroy histhe housebuilding due to fire-spread being disabled, but it would trap Norbert inside his house. While rad's Army was gathering the resources for this, norbert had a trick up his sleeve; using his mystical powers, he would fly to the oil rig. This was a shocker and completely took rad's Army by surprise. The previously thought impossible to penetrate oil rig was suddenly under attack by a flying player. With his killarura, Norbert would massacre rad's Army stationed on the oil rig. It was impossible to kill him with lava buckets, and the supply of arrows was getting smaller. It didn't help either that Norbert would destroy the dead player's loot with fire, meaning that rad's Army would inevitably run out of resources. However, raddicted had one final plan, and suggested it to 44cckw.

With it being clear that there was no way for therad's raddicted loyalistsArmy to win the war due to Norbert's powerscheats, they only had one option left to use: Worldedit. As 44cckw was a server operator, he had access to thethis powerful plugin named Worldedit. This could let 44cckw do unimaginable things, and it could rival the powers of Norbert. Using the plugin, 44cckw would deletedeleted Norbert's house from existence. This move brought the war to a quick end, and both parties of the conflict agreed to cease fighting. Ato backupstop of the world was loaded, due tofurther damages caused by the war. With Norbert keeping his position in Paris, and raddicted failing to depose him, the war ended in a clear victory for Norbert.
 
All damages made during the war was reverted, and Norbert kept his ruling position in Paris, with Rad failing to depose him.
 
==Aftermath==
The conflict is an important piece of [[Paris]] history. It solidified [[Norbert011|Norbert's]] rule of Paris together with [[raddicted]]. rad was allowed to keep his ruling position together with Norbert, even though he had attempted to coup him, though the relationship between the two took a hit. Relations between Paris and [[Oak Hills]] was also soured, due to high-up Oak Hills supportingcitizens the[[44cckw]] and [[CalmCreeper360]] supporting raddicted's insurrection and coup-attempt. The war iswas alsoat the time, the single-most deadliest conflict in the server's history. Due to the massive damages caused on the server; the loss of items, the massacre of Norbert's dogs and [[Paris Mansion|Norbert's house]] vanishing from existence, the server reloaded from backup.
 
While Norbert and raddicted continued to be friends following the war, the same could not be said for NobertNorbert and CalmCreeper. Even though the server loadedreloaded from a backup, meaning that Calm kept his items, he was still upset about the earlier unjustified murder and theft of himitems. He has vowed to take revenge on Norbert in some way, even though it could lead to another conflict in the future, which it eventually did. During [[EvilPoopMan's Reign]] over the server some weeks later, fighting between the two would continuecontinued to happen., meaning that the Reign and the later June of Chaos, which almost tore the server apart, is a direct consequence of this war.

raddicted and 44cckw quickly figured out that serious conflict would arise from Calm's massacre. With all three players being fed up with Norbert's antics, rad made a plan to depose Norbert as ruler of Paris and gain full control himself. 44cckw and CalmCreeper threw in their support, and formed the rebel army that would later be unofficially termed "rad's Army". 44cckw would supply the army with weapons and munitions, still having some diamond supplies left over from the Dupe War. Further materiel would be quickly acquired from the Spider Cave and the Skeleton farm inside the Paris Hole. 44cckw's Oil Rig was set up as a base of operations, due to it's location and being easy to defend against attackers. All warps were rendered useless by covering them in obsidian.

Norbert's first advance on the oil rig is halted by lava.

rad's Army lost their foothold on mainland Oak Hills and Paris after several raids on Calm's House by Norbert. The army fully regrouped at the Oil Rig. While they were busy crafting and managing more gear they would use, Norbert used the massive tunnel-system underneath Paris to advance on the Oil Rig. As these tunnels are directly connected to the Oil Rig, raddicted and CalmCreeper poured lava down the stairs leading to these underground tunnels. This successfully halted Norbert's first attack, as he was unable to stop the massive flow of lava coming from above. With their current advantage, raddicted planned to build a tower up to build limit and pour lava down onto the Paris Mansion. This wouldn't destroy the building due to fire-spread being disabled, but it would trap Norbert inside.

While Rad's Army was gathering the resources for this, Norbert had a trick up his sleeve; using his cheats, he would fly to the Oil Rig across the water. This was a shocker and completely took rad's Army by surprise. The previously thought impossible to penetrate Oil Rig was suddenly under attack by a flying player. With his killarura, Norbert would massacre rad's Army stationed on the Oil Rig. It was impossible to kill him with lava buckets, and the supply of arrows was getting smaller. It didn't help either that Norbert would destroy the dead player's loot with fire and lava, meaning that Rad's Army would inevitably run out of resources. However, raddicted had one final plan and suggested it to 44cckw.

End of the conflict

Norbert's house vanished from existence during the final stage of the war.

With it being clear that there was no way for rad's Army to win the war due to Norbert's cheats, they only had one option left to use: Worldedit. As 44cckw was a server operator, he had access to this powerful plugin. This could let 44cckw do unimaginable things, and it could rival the powers of Norbert. Using the plugin, 44cckw deleted Norbert's house from existence. This move brought the war to a quick end, and both parties of the conflict agreed to cease fighting to stop further damages.

All damages made during the war was reverted, and Norbert kept his ruling position in Paris, with Rad failing to depose him.

Aftermath

The conflict is an important piece of Paris history. It solidified Norbert's rule of Paris together with raddicted. rad was allowed to keep his ruling position together with Norbert, even though he had attempted to coup him, though the relationship between the two took a hit. Relations between Paris and Oak Hills was also soured, due to high-up Oak Hills citizens 44cckw and CalmCreeper360 supporting raddicted's insurrection and coup-attempt. The war was at the time, the single-most deadliest conflict in the server's history. Due to the massive damages caused on the server; the loss of items, the massacre of Norbert's dogs and Norbert's house vanishing from existence, the server reloaded from backup.

While Norbert and raddicted continued to be friends following the war, the same could not be said for Norbert and CalmCreeper. Even though the server reloaded from a backup, meaning that Calm kept his items, he was still upset about the earlier unjustified murder and theft of items. He vowed to take revenge on Norbert in some way, even though it could lead to another conflict in the future, which it eventually did. During EvilPoopMan's Reign over the server some weeks later, fighting between the two continued to happen, meaning that the Reign and the later June of Chaos, which almost tore the server apart, is a direct consequence of this war.
