Nether
The Nether is an alternate dimension which is possible to enter via a Nether portal. All players can create Nether portals wherever they want, though building them close to each other may result in them overlapping.
The Nether on Betaonline is notorious for having large chunk-errors. The reason for this is currently unknown. Exploring and loading new chunks in the Nether tends to cause lag, due to the server having to process two dimensions at the same time.

While building in the Nether is uncommon due to the harsh environment, some players have still managed to do it.
