The Dupe Wars, also known as the Great Dupe Wars or simply the Dupe War, was a series of major conflicts between a coalition of players, against the griefer 46mm. It was mainly fought in the greater Oak Hills area, with Oak Hills downtown and Paris being major battlegrounds.
The war started on 14 March 2022, while the server was in its infancy. Due to 44cckw's inexperience in Minecraft server's at the time, it was very easy for 46mm to trick 44cckw and dupe without it being discovered. The war would officially end on 20 March 2022, when 46mm agreed to peace and was pardoned for his crimes. However, the war de-facto continued into April with 46mm griefing the server for the final time and Revert joining the war. The war ended on 17 April 2022, and a whitelist was enacted on the server, which is seen as the end of the server's Golden Age and start of the Dark Age.
The impact the Dupe War has made on the server is immeasurable. No war other than the Parisian Civil War and EvilPoopMan's Reign has even come close to the legacy the Dupe War left behind. The Dupe Wars is constantly talked about and referenced by older players of the server, and 46mm is still seen as one of the greatest villains in the server's history, only surpassed by EvilPoopMan. Dupe stashes, named Dupe War remnants by the community, are still located and found by players to this date. While the war is often seen as a negative event, as it led to the Dark Age and almost the death of the server, players such as 44cckw and Norbert011 has expressed positivity towards the war in retrospect, as it contributed interesting lore to the server.
History
Prelude
46mm first joined the server on 14 March. At the time, raddicted, 44cckw, Norbert011 and Wemboz_1 was online on the server. At first, 46mm seemed a bit agitated due to his application for building permission taking some time, but it was nonetheless approved by 44cckw at 23:41.

First Griefs
Tensions had begun to break out between 46mm and Norbert that same day. After some debate about politics and religion between the two, 46mm got angry at Norbert. He wanted to grief Norbert's house, but mistook 44cckw's house as Norbert's and begun destroying it. As such, he was instantly banned by 44cckw at 00:19.

At 00:52, a new player by the name Arctor would join the server. Unbeknownst at the time, he was actually one of 46mm's many alternative accounts. He recieved building permission at 00:58 by 44cckw.
44cckw logged off for the night at 01:28, leaving Arctor, Norbert and raddicted online. Arctor is reported as acting suspicious, with him destroying parts of Mope222's mudhole. Griefing would start not soon after, with Arctor vandalizing builds in central Oak Hills.

44cckw would quickly rejoin the server at 01:47 and banned 46mm instantly, after recieving messages on Discord about the griefing. 46mm griefing was concidered as being very weak by all the players, due to him only placing water buckets everywhere throughout Oak Hills and not doing any significant damage. At this point in time, PvP was not activated on the server, meaning there was no way to harm other players. His grief would be ridiculed in chat. The damages was quickly repaired, with no rollback needed. One part of the grief was not removed however, as both raddicted and Norbert agreed to keep it. It was named the Gay Pillar and it still stands in Oak Hills to this day.
At 02:27, 46mm would rejoin with his account BetaGuy. However, with the building permission system in place, he could not do anything and quickly left the server. 46mm would still continue to try and use different accounts throughout the night, but to no avail.
First Duping and Fights
The next day, 15 March 2022, things would mostly go smoothly. It wasn't until 18:58 that 46mm would return, this time with the account NaarsJuul67. Like the previous time, nobody in the server suspected anything strange, as getting new players was not uncommon. 46mm would play normally for hours, recieving building permission by 44cckw. During his stay, he would play normally for hours. 46mm would obtain obsidian and construct a Nether portal, which he would use to dupe large amounts of diamond and gold blocks. 44cckw noticed the nether portal, but didn't think much of it. This portal would later be turned into the Dupe War Memorial by Norbert.
It wasn't until 21:10, when 44cckw logged off, that he would start his bad behaviour. A fight broke out between Norbert and 46mm at 21:38, due to PvP having been enabled earlier that day. 46mm would kill Norbert with a diamond sword, but would ultimately die to Norbert's wolves that occupied his front porch. The violence continued, and both parties would kill eachother several times. Tense arguments between 46mm and Norbert broke out. 46mm joined the Discord and tried to falsely accuse Norbert of stealing, but this lie was seen through by 44cckw instantly. 44cckw logged in at 22:28 and banned 46mm at 22:29. A backup was loaded, because Norbert lost some items during the fight. Some minor griefing in Oak Hills was also committed. 46mm quickly returned with an alt, and was mocked in chat for his waste of time. However, 46mm would reveal that he had secretly duped diamonds during his time before the fight. At the time, the server thought he was bluffing. He would once again be banned on 22:50.

Discovery of the Dupe Stash
46mm would return yet again to the server, this time with the account yopplstomper58 on 19 March 2022. He would once again act like a normal player. After arguing with server members about the building permission system, he would nonetheless be granted it after some minutes of waiting. 46mm would begin to wander around Oak Hills, and seemed to take notice of a patch of cobblestone in the water. Unbeknownst to the other players on the server at the time, this was actually the location of a dupe stash that he had hid. He and Norbert would begin to remove the cobblestone.

It was then revealed to the server that the dupe stash was real. The chest contained stacks of gold and diamond blocks, which Norbert and 46mm was allowed to keep. 46mm would continue to act dumb, saying that he had no clue about the previous events on the server. However, players would begin to act suspicious. 46mm began digging into the Nomad Hut, revealing another dupe stash he had hid there previously.

Suspicious activity did not stop. 46mm would begin to build a house made out of Diamond and Gold blocks at the Oak Hills pier and docks. While 44cckw did not like it, the build technically broke zero rules, so it was allowed to be kept up. This didn't stop the playerbase complaining, as many regarded the house as an 'eyesore' and a 'disgrace to oak hills', and wanted it gone. 46mm would also be questioned publicly of his unusual luck in finding both the dupe stashes.
Later that evening, 46mm would begin to destroy speedster2931's House and replace blocks with gold and diamond, as a way to 'upgrade it'. This made the playerbase really suspicious, and leaked private messages between Norbert and 44cckw conveys this.
The conversation would carry onto Discord, where 46mm tried to defend his actions. 44cckw concluded that 46's destruction of speedster's House was griefing, and that he would be banned unless he repaired it. Norbert meanwhile, insisted that the account yopplstomper was another 46mm alternative account, citing his discovery of the dupe stashes to be highly suspicious.
Back on the server, tensions rose quickly. After more heated arguments, 46mm would attack Norbert, only to get killed by Norbert's diamond sword. 46mm would not be banned however, and 44cckw would log off for the night.

Reveal and Dupe Stash Hunting
After 44cckw logged off, 46mm would log in with his alternative account stimpy. He would tour Norbert around the server, showcasing some of his dupe stashes. They would chat friendly with eachother, and 46mm would peacefully leave on 07:29.

The next day, 20 March 2022, FinC121 and Norbert would go on a hunt across the server looking for more dupe stashes. Those they found, would be burned and most items destroyed by the flames. The 'eyesore' in Oak Hills, the house made out of diamond blocks that was built by 46mm, would be mined by 44cckw, Fin and Norbert. 44cckw would use his admin powers to fly around the map with freecam, and look into locked chests to see if they contained duped items.
Official End of the Conflict
46mm would join the Discord server on 20 March 2022. He concluded that he was done griefing and duping on the server. Peace was agreed upon, and 44cckw declared that the war had ended in a stalemate, as while he was successful at reverting the griefing, 46mm still succeed in duping large amounts of diamonds, some of which are still in circulation on the Betaonline black market to this day.
While this is the official end of the conflict, battles and skirmishes would continue into April 2022.
Unbanning and Parole
After coming to terms with each other, 46mm would be allowed to return to the server by 44cckw. 46mm returned to the server on 2 April 2022 with his main account Honor555, on the condition that he would play normally and not grief.

During his stay in April, he notably built his house located between raddicted and Wemboz_1's territory and Oak Hills. However, normal behavior did not last for long. Due to errors with plugins, TNT was enabled on the server. 46mm managed to find this out, and completely demolished the entire server on 14 April 2022. Almost every build and town on the server was struck; Oak Hills, Paris and Lockedchestia was in complete ruins. Just as this happened, 44cckw was away on holiday, meaning that the server had no way to reload from backup. The server remained anarchy until 17 April 2022, when the server finally reloaded from backup after 44cckw had returned home again. 46mm was banned permanently.
46mm would later state on Discord that he 'couldn't help it'. He has not been seen on the server since, and rumors has been floating around that he has begun playing modern Minecraft instead.
Revert's Dupe
Revert, who was previously a normal player on the server, would enter the war in April. Starting with a large lavacast south-east of the oil rig on 3 April, he would dupe a large amount of stone and iron on 7 April 2022. Instead of going with 46mm's tactic of hiding the dupe, he would instead publicly announce it by building structures of iron blocks across Oak Hills. He would be banned by 44cckw quickly after this. His chests full of duped items was located by 44cckw at Server Museum. The chest contained stacks of furnaces, which were all destroyed and burned.
Revert and 46mm never had any relations with each other, and it is unknown if they communicated and coordinated this attack together. Due to this, there are discussion wherever or not Revert's actions should be considered part of the Dupe Wars or not, as the only thing in common between the two incidents are duping.
Aftermath and Consequences
Server Decline and the Dark Ages
The Dupe Wars devastated the server, and 44cckw wanted to prevent anything like it from happening on the server again. As such, a whitelist was enacted on 16 April 2022. This meant that any new players had to be invited by an existing player on the server in order to play. While this seemed to be a smart move at the time, it made the server less-populated in the long run. The server slowly stagnated in May 2022, and by June 2022 almost no players were active on the server. This period in the server's history has been dubbed the Dark Age in retrospect.
The server removed the whitelist and invite-only system on 10 August 2022 and re-implemented the building permission system. With this change, the server would again become more active. Many new players such as dropier, Trikhazan, shigaduhshay and CalmCreeper360 would join the server in August-October.
Dupe War Remnants
Dupe War Remnants are several dupe stashes that has been discovered after the initial war took place. While most dupe stashes are destroyed, some contents of a stash often fall into the hands of players, which has deflated the price of diamonds.
Timeline
- 14 March 2022: 46mm joins the server for the first time. After arguing with Norbert011 about politics, he mistakenly griefs 44cckw's First House, believing it to belong to Norbert. 46mm is promptly banned from the server. This kick starts the Dupe Wars.
- 14-15 March 2022: 46mm joins undercover with an alternative account, and tricks 44cckw into giving him building permissions. He would grief Mope222's House and place water all across Oak Hills. The Gay Pillar would be erected at this time. 46mm would be banned for the second time.
- 15 March 2022: 46mm joins with another undercover account. He would use a Nether portal to dupe a large amount of diamond and gold blocks, which he would hide inside of the Nomad Hut and what is today the Oak Hills Pier and Docks. Fighting would break out between 46mm and Norbert, and he would be banned yet again. 46mm revealed that he had duped, but nobody believed it to be true.
- 19 March 2022: 46mm would join with yet another undercover account. Due to nobody having discovered the dupe stash, 46mm would pretend to find it himself, together with Norbert. He would build the Eyesore, much to the dismay of Oak Hills' residents. 46mm would begin to grief speedster2931's House.
- 20 March 2022: 46mm reveals that he has multiple dupe stashes hidden across the server. Norbert, FinsCon and 44cckw dismantle the Eyesore. The war is declared as being officially over, after 46mm and 44cckw agree to peace.
- 2 April 2022: 46mm rejoins the server, after being pardoned by 44cckw for his crimes.
- 3 April 2022: Revert would unofficially enter the war by creating a lavacast close to the Oil Rig.
- 7 April 2022: Revert would dupe a large amount of iron blocks and furnaces, and would build iron structures all across Oak Hills. Revert would be banned shortly after this.
- 14 April 2022: After an exploit is discovered, 46mm decides to blow the entire server up with TNT. 44cckw was unable to do anything about it due to being on vacation.
- 14-17 April 2022: Server remains anarchy and lawless throughout most of Easter 2022.
- 17 April 2022: The grief is reverted, and 46mm is banned for the final time.
