The Longswordsmen was a notorious secret group on Betaonline, being responsible for numerous griefs against Lockedchestia, one of the many settlements on the server. Their signature move was creating elaborate swastikas, much to the annoyance of Tsar_Boris, the founder and leader of the aforementioned Lockedchestia. While the identity of the Longswordsmen was leaked on numerous occasions, it remained a mystery to the general populace of the server. The group became virtually defunct after Norbert011's ban in June 2023 and has been considered to be disbanded due to lacking activity.
History
Origins
The Longswordsmen's first mention on the server can be traced back to 31 March 2022, and it is presumed that Norbert011 and raddicted formed this group some time before this date. Initially, the group was simply a secret organization for players with similar ideals and goals. rad recruited AlphaPlayer5345 to the group on 1 April 2022, although he never partook in the group's activites and left the server temporarily for some time in late April. Wodanaz333 also expressed interest in joining, but it is unknown if he ever did. A castle for the Longswordsmen was constructed in Oak Hills in September 2022.
Griefs against Lockedchestia
The group would partake in numerous griefs beginning in early 2022. An obsidian swastika was created by Wodanaz in Lockedchestia on 9 April 2022, but it is unknown if this is an unrelated grief or if he did this on the Longswordsmen's behalf.
raddicted and Norbert would construct a massive sandstone swastika in the waters outside of Lockedchestia on 17 May 2022, while Tsar_Boris. This was during the server's first dark age, so it was easy to conduct this secret operation without anybody noticing. Boris was likely chosen as a target due to his and Norbert's previous history on MCPlayground - another Minecraft server. The swastika was first discovered by Boris a few days later, who opted to re-utilize the swastika instead of destroying it, transforming it into the Colliseum.
Lockedchestia was raided once again by the Longswordsmen in November 2022, with numerous cobblestone swastikas being erected across Kraigrad. This attack was not discovered by any other players until one month later, and Tsar_Boris was inactive during this time.
Decline
The Longswordsmen quickly died out after their November attack against Lockedchestia, but was not officially disbanded. The group would on several occasions be referenced through various means. During the Reign and the invasion of the Farlands, the cobblestone swastikas which was built one month prior was discovered, which prompted some of EvilPoopMan's interns to wish a reinstatement of Longswordsmen authority over the Farlands, but this was denied by the PoopMan.

During the period known as June of Chaos, which occurred in June 2023, the Longswordsmen's banner was commonly used by anti-Calm forces and the United Cities, though this did not last long. The perpetrators of the Chaos, including Norbert, was banned from the server on 20 June 2023. This date is considered the unofficial disbandment of the Longswordsmen, as the remaining members are not actively playing on the server or planning on a revival.
