Revert is an old Betaonline player. A controversial figure, he was known on the server for being a troublemaker, often killing or griefing the server in one way or another. After duping iron blocks in April 2022, he would be banned from the server.
Norbert011 confirmed that the account X25, which had been playing on the server since 16 May 2022, was actually an alternative account of Revert. This became public knowledge on 8 October 2022. 44cckw would allow him to stay, since he had not done any bad actions during his stay. Revert would make a complete return on 27 October 2022, and would begin to play on his main account again. However, this did not last long. Revert would be banned again on 12 November 2022 after duping for a second time.
History
Early History
Revert would join the server for the first time on 17 March 2022. At an unknown point, the Mountain House would be built by either AlphaPlayer5345 or Withermann[Notes 1] for the price of a few diamonds. Revert ended up never paying for this. Revert also claimed to have built the Fencepost together with Alphaplayer, though this is disputed.
Entering the Dupe War
While Revert had been known on the server as a troublemaker for a while, he did not do anything inherently illegal. He became intentionally disruptive in late March, and created a big lavacast that sat right beside the Oil Rig. This escalated further on 7 April 2022, when he entered the Dupe War by duping a large amount of iron blocks. Instead of hiding the dupe, he publicly announced it by building structures across Oak Hills made out of the iron blocks. He would be banned by 44cckw after this.
Returning with X25
During the Dark Age, the period in which the server had a whitelist enabled, Norbert invited the user X25 to Betaonline. Claiming it was a friend of his, 44cckw agreed and added him to the whitelist on 16 May 2022. However, without anyone's knowledge other than Norbert, X25 was an alternative account of Revert. While Revert had full access to the server during May-October with this account, he never griefed or duped anything.
Pardon, Dupelandia and Second Ban
X25 would join the server on 27 October 2022 after a long hiatus. It had become public knowledge earlier that month that Revert was X25, so when Revert pretended to be another user it went nowhere. He eventually revealed that he was in fact Revert. Similar to how 46mm was allowed back on the server, 44cckw decided to do the same with Revert. Revert joined the server again on his main account, and would begin to play normally again.
During his second stay on the server, he built the settlement of Dupelandia after getting permission from 44cckw. Dupelandia was supposed to be built from dupe war remnants that Revert already had on him, but Revert decided to dupe additional blocks of lapis in November and would place them all across Oak Hills and Paris on 12 November 2022. This was the final straw, and Revert would lose his building permission due to this. Dupelandia would be changed into Dirtlandia by 44cckw, after using Worldedit to change the iron blocks into dirt blocks.
Revert was not banned outright, but 'softbanned', meaning that he only lost his building permission. He attempted to rejoin the server on 20 November 2022 with the alternative account Latitude, but this was seen through by 44cckw.
