Frankenstein was Betaonline's server in its early history. It was taken into use in March 2022, and performance was generally pretty unstable. The server was built from scratch with many different parts from other computers by [[44cckw]], hence the nickname 'Frankenstein'. It was known to lag, especially in its later stages during September and October 2022. Frankenstein was discontinued on 29 October 2022, after the lag made Betaonline unplayable.

After Frankenstein was retired on 29 October 2022, Betaonline got a new server one day later on 30 October 2022. This server, nicknamed 'Superiorum' was much stronger than its predecessor. Virtually no lag server-side is reported anymore, and the player slots was even increased.

The previously used Superiorum proved to be a very powerful server, as it didn't even use half of its capacity when it ran Betaonline. As such, it was decided on 30 July 2023 to downgrade the server. A more lightweight operating system replaced the previously bloated Ubuntu, and the RAM was decreased heavily. During the migration to the newer hardware, the server was down for a record-amount of time: approximately 5 hours. This is reflected in the latin name for the server; "repentis", which means recent, quick, sudden and unexpected.

The [[AdventureOnline]] server ran for one month, from 1 January to 31 January 2023. While it experienced some technical issues in the beginning, due to the buggy nature of the release 1.0 server jar, it ran smoothly throughout the rest of its lifespan. The player slots of the server sat at 46, though only 4 players ever joined the server. This was a inside-joke aimed at the infamous [46mm]], one of the most well-known Betaonline players of all time.
