The dupe-portal remained in operational state throughout the Dupe War, as this region of what would later be known as the Lake Department was not populated at the time. [[Norbert011]] would rediscover the portal on 25 March 2022, partially destroy it and turn it into a monument. He would put up a sign stating its historical significance. A road leading to the monument was constructed by 44cckw some time later, and the signs was updated in August 2022 to include more information. A barrier surrounding the monument would also be created.

The Dupe War Memorial, together with all other Nether portals on the server, would receive a significant grief on the server by the player [[Epikrika]] on 2 December 2022. The historical monument was heavily damaged, with several blocks originally placed by 46mm being destroyed forever. Epikrika would admit to breaking the portals, and numerous other crimes on 3 December 2022, after a server-wide outrage. Epikrika would be tried at the [[Oak Hills]] court, executed, and banned from the server. The dupe-portal received restoration and repairs by 44cckw and Norbert011.
