Public Desert
The Public Desert is a location on Betaonline.
History Edit
Origins Edit
The area was first explored and mapped by FinsCon a few days after the server first went public. It was declared to be a public desert, meaning that any player on the server were free to use its resources or build there. Lamp-posts consisting of obsidian and glowstone were placed in the desert some time later, which worked as a wayfinder for the server's early explorers. Players traveling to Creeper Town trekked through this desert.
Excavation Edit
The desert would slowly but surely be excavated by various players throughout the times. Massive amounts were dug out in 2023, and large parts of the Public Desert were stripped of sand completely.
